Another ticker to look at ROCM...

Rochester Medical, a little company that makes... catheters. :lmao:

I found it using the growth screen I mentioned earlier. They appear to have a lock on "anti-infection catheters" or at least I haven't been able to find a competitor with a similar product in the last couple days.

One of the interesting things I read was that beginning in Oct 08 Medicare will be holding hospitals liable for the costs associated with treating urinary tract infections that occur while the patient is under their care. It turns out one of the leading causes is... catheters!

ROCM's product eliminates that problem and the associated costs for treatment. Looks like they're going to either explode in size or get bought out by a larger company for the patents.

Seems like a good call, what do ya think???

Be careful of stocks with 'good stories.'
But I think medical stocks in general will do well now that us boomers are getting older.

HCN buys and rents office space to doctors, clinics etal.
So it capitalizes on aging boomers and real estate.
Upside: 5.9% yield, good share price increases
Downside: a 35+ PE

True, 35 is a bit high for me.

Agreed, trying to find more info. Specifically, when they acquired the patents, if they plan on licensing them, and what companies are competing DIRECTLY with this product line.
