Antichrists thrive on the big lie.

1 John 2:18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth. 21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.
26 I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. 27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.
Here's where to find the commentary.

Little children, it is the last hour: John lived in the constant expectancy of Jesus’ return, regarding his time as the last hour. This is an expectancy that we should also have, knowing that the Lord’s return can come at any time.
The Antichrist is coming: John here refers to an individual who has captured the imagination of many people, including those who don’t even know the Bible. Many are ignorant about this person called the Antichrist, except what they have learned from movies like The Omen.
The Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come: There is a distinction between the Antichrist and many antichrists. There is a “spirit” of antichrist, and this “spirit” of antichrist will one day find its ultimate fulfillment in the Antichrist, who will lead humanity in an end-times rebellion against God.
By which we know that it is the last hour: This indicates that John expected that the presence of many antichrists — of many people who offer a false, substitute Christ — is evidence of the lateness in the hour before Jesus’ coming. John writes that this was true in his day; we could say it is even truer in our own.
Essentially, the Antichrist is a world dictator who leads humanity in what seems to be a golden age, until he shows his true colors — and the judgment of God is poured out on him and his empire immediately before the return of Jesus.
He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son: The spirit of antichrist identifies itself by its denial of Jesus and its denial of the Father, remembering that Jesus and the Father can be denied even by those who seem to speak well of them both.
You do not need that anyone teach you: Just as he stated in 1 John 2:20 (you know all things), John tells us again that the anointing we receive from God guides us into truth. We are guided into truth on a one-on-one level, God confirming it to our hearts.
Ah, the Antichrist... Now here's an entity that just stinks... right?

We've had so many super villains introduced to us over the years since Superman first appeared in black and white on our TV sets. It's hard to pick the most wicked of them all. Superman had his super villains, Spiderman had his, Wonderwoman had hers, Batman had his, and even Dick Tracey comics in the Sunday Newspaper brought us a few super villains. Westerns had super villains too. Paladine, Josh Randall and Rowdy Yates met a lot of them on their trails.

Alas... all the super villains were and are just antichrists... with a little "a". The super villain who will own the capital "A" will make those supervillains look like the comic book characters we have enjoyed all these years. We might even vote for a supervillain if he ran for office! We proved that with Hitler. The Antichrist will make us believe he is the best of the best of the best, while he's driving a nail through the truth.

John thought Jesus was coming back shortly. I guess, when we consider how long it took for God and Jesus to create all the universes and galaxies and humans and battles and Exodus and battles and more battles.... before Jesus went to the Cross, John was right. What's a couple thousand years to God? It's like a blink of an eye compared to eternity.

John thought he would see Jesus come right out of the clouds and clean the human mess up. John looked for Jesus to return every single waking minute. Jesus wasn't going to catch him off guard if he could help it.

That's how we should be. Wanna throw a temper tantrum, better consider how it would look if Jesus showed up in the middle of the tantrum!

Jesus said He would be back and He will be. The doomsday clock still has 90 seconds. We were sure when the year 2000 came around all the computers running everything were going to go berserk... and we got ready... and nothing happened. If the doomsday clock gets to 0 seconds... and Jesus hasn't come... people will hang their heads and believe any antichrist. John knew that even back in his day. Mark this though, when God says it's time... Jesus will return and He's going to catch a lot of people off guard. I pity the fool who had just smacked a baby when Jesus does show up! I pity the fool... really.

Don't be fooled, those moronic little antichrists running around now, twisting the Gospel, are just proof that Jesus is going to return. We don't even have to leave a light on for Him. He'll bring His own Light.

John said there were antichrists running around in his day. John knew there would be more of them. They seem to be multiplying exponentially. It's a wonder we can learn the truth from any church anymore... I'm sure the antichrists work best in the quiet of the church. Why I bet there a discussion, as I write this, about taking Jesus on the Cross out of the church so everyone will be comfortable and tithe even more.

Don't be fooled. There are antichrists among us. The antichrist tells us Jesus is fake and the Messiah is a myth and the Word is just a good book.

Antichrists thrive on the big lie.
