Boom! On Nov. 14, a federal jury in Portland delivered a crushing verdict against a Portland Antifa extremist who sued the city alleging excessive force when she was pepper sprayed by police at a direct action in September 2020.
Marie Tyvoll, then 59, set up a riot supplies tent at Kenton Park that was raided by police who cleared it of weapons and riot gear. Tyvoll hit officer Justin D. Damerville and grabbed his hand before she was pepper sprayed.
Though Tyvoll looks like a respectable older woman, she is an extremist and has assisted the movement's most extreme elements, including fundraising cash for them in an "Antifa Bake Sale" that would buy them "supplies."
Tyvoll has a history of filing lawsuits for large payouts. In 2020, Portland Public Schools agreed to pay her $410,000 after she was fired.
