Any Doodle owners here?

Hi everyone. Just joined today. Was wondering if there is anyone on here who have Goldendoodles or Labradoodles. We've got 2 goldendoodles. One is from Callaway Kennels and the other is a rescue from a group in Florida. Most everyone on the other doodle groups and forums around here seem to live in DC or NoVa. Would love to meet up with some more local doodle owners.

I have a labradoodle. He'll be 3 on July 27. He is about 75-80 lbs and he is the sweetest, most loving, kid friendly dog I've ever met!
His Mom was a choc. Lab and his dad was a choc Poodle. Woody, is black with a reddish muzzle. Right now, he has his summer haircut, which made him look like a lab.
This is, without a doubt my favorite breed!
I am totally in love with him.
I'll attach some pics. My other sweetie is a Pure Poodle. (miniature)

If I had my way, I'd have another Labradoodle, but hubby says 2 dogs are enough. WTF does he know? :lmao:

Thanks for the welcome. Our 2 doods are both just over 2 years old. Gus is a F-1B from Callaway Kennels. Lilly is a F-1. We know she's from a breeder in Ohio, but was bought by a lady in Daytona Beach who ended up dropping her off at a shelter. Claimed she bit her 3 year old. No one there actually beleved her though. Have you gone to any doodle romps with yours? We go to the monthly romp a group in Annapolis has often as we can. Like I said there is a pretty large group of doodle owners in the DC, NoVA area (DCDoodles Group on Yahoo). I was going to try and organize a romp at one of the dog parks here in Waldorf. Not sure how many will want to drive the 20+ miles from up around DC though. Here a few photos of Gus and Lilly.

Very sweet faces!
I live in Delaware. We have a Doodle Romp here, in Late September. What a sight. I have to find those pictures. The breed is funny, too. Are you finding that? They are so entertaining. :lmao:

I think ther're the greatest. It's to bad some only look at them as designer dogs, without knowing their history.

Woody is an F1. He sheds just a little. My friend has a F1B. Looks like a poodle, and doesn't shed. I'd love to have an F1B. Someday, maybe.

This breed is remarkable with kids. I have a daycare and all the kids love to play with him, and he has the energy for the kids, too.
Too bad I live over here. I love to meet with our dogs!

I know what you mean. Neither of ours shed. Gus and Lilly are both extreamly gentle. Anyone an approach them and pet them. Gus is certified through Charles Co. Humane Society as a therapy dog. Hopefully within the the next year Lilly will be also. Sorry, I thought you lived over here in St. Mary's County. I love getting them together with other doodle owners.

Hello! My mom has a goldendoodle that is absolutely adorable and very lovable she is about 70 pounds I would say. As a matter of fact, she came from Callaway Kennels too. We got her last year as a xmas present for my mom. I just recently purchased a cavapoo(cavalier king charles spaniel and a poodle) and he's wonderful! Especially for people who want a smaller dog who doesn't shed! He'll only get to 15 pounds and we've had him for 3 weeks and he is already potty trained and will sit at the snap of a finger! Both of the dogs are such nice inside dogs we absolutely love them!

How cool. Do you know who your Mom's GD parents were? Gus's mom was Fancy (F-1 GD) and his dad is Skipper (Standard Poodle). I'm not sure if the still have Skipper, but Fancy is still there. Both Gus and Lilly are around 50 pounds. Are you all local in So. MD? It would be great to maybe get them together sometime.

I'm not exactly sure who her parents were but I'm sure my mom does. We are located in SoMD, we live in Drayden. I also met a nice couple at a horse show a few weeks ago that have a very nice doodle too, they live in charles county and I didn't even get their name.
