Any good deals on Jersey Framing around here?

Hey guys, I'm born and raised here in the Southern Maryland area, born in Prince Frederick, live in Huntingtown and work in Lexington Park.

I recently won my first autographed jersey and would like to display it properly. I'm not set on having it framed yet since I've found some decent display case alternatives, but does anyone have a first hand recommedation?

I called Mattedi Gallery in Wildewoode, they wanted $285 minimum and possibly more depending on the options.

I found a place in Laurel (a bit of a drive) that only wants $150 for the frame + $20 to upgrade to UV protected glass. So $170 total but two trips to the store (drop-off and pickup) and about 1hr 15 minutes each way.

If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it!

framing is sooo expensive. Michaels has deals on framing sometimes..and they will frame anything...Also there is a sports store in the park by peebles..they may have some sort of display/frame you could do yourself

I have several jerseys framed and I bought all of my frames online. I apologize but I do not have the receipts on this computer, or else I would recommend a website. They came unfinished which was nice because it gives you a little more flexibility in how you want them to look.

I want to say they were around 120.00 with free shipping. This was probably 3 years ago so things may have changed....they are high quality, I have 2 jerseys from the 1950's and they haven't sun faded, or worn in the least.

Just look around online I'm sure you will find a good deal...:buddies:

When it comes to framing a autographed item in my opinion keeping it protected is important. The problem is they don't go hand in hand. If you are concerned enough to think of framing it then spend the buck and the time to get it done right!

I spent $85 on a Baseball hat case. This has the UV protection etc.
This hat was signed by Chase Utley, Jimmy Rollins, Jason Werth, Cole Hamels, Shane Victorino, Scott Eyre, and Charlie Manuel of the Phillies last year.

My Brother had some ticket that were signed and went on the cheap of getting them on a plague, the plague looked real good but they melted the ink on the tickets.
