We need our roof repaired and new shingles put on. We have had 2 (very different :jameo: ) estimates so far, so are seeking, at least, a third opinion. Have you used anyone that you could trust/rely on? We live in Calvert. TIA!

My father does mainly roofing. He is by far not the cheapest but he is probably the most honest and will not BS you with what the problems are.

Lots of suggestions. But ya gotta do a search on the forums. This has been covered not too often, but the info is there.

Lemme know what you come up with. The only estimates that I have been able to actually get, were ridiculously high. I can't even get anyone interested in doing the work on the roof, or a new kitchen now.

How old is the house?
How many layers of shingles do you have on the roof?

I'll do some research and get back w/you!

Thank you!! The house is @ 16 years old, only one layer of shingles, we have an estimate from one contractor for tearing off all of the old shingles and adding new, as well as just repairing/replacing one section, then adding a new layer of shingles to the whole roof without tearing then all off.
