Anybody catching anything from the surf?

Lookin to POSSIBLY use the rod that I bought 6 years ago, and maybe swim a bit too with the family.

Nettles in the bay? ANy other hazards? OR should I forget about doin both.

I fished with bloodworms week before last and hardly did squat. However, I'm in Drum Point and the water is shallow off our beach, and the water was really warm. I suspect the fish were holding in deeper water. I did get some croaker and spot one evening just before high tide. I'm going to try again tomorrow evening. As for the jellyfish, didn't see that many and only got stung once.
