Can you do that in Maryland? For some reason I thought alcohol by mail was prohibited, like Wine of the Month clubs etc.

Probably a hike for you but you might try Captain Kidd's in Deale. They have a heck of a selection.

My Dad was born in Terre Haute, Indiana. He said it was a nice place to be from, but not a nice place to be at.
It used to be called Smelly Haute, it had a outdated water treatment plant, next to a railroad tie creosote plant and some other smelly factory next to that 30 yrs ago.
That side of town was F'ing brutal to live and work around.

By mail (USPS) has been and still is prohibited. Wineries can ship via common carrier. Breweries and distillers cannot use a common carrier, but they can have company employed delivery drivers,

I ordered a case of Buffalo Trace about a year ago from a FB promotion. They debited my account in two days. I kept asking where my liquor was. They said due to unforeseen popularity of the "deal" they were shipping as soon as some came in. Three times I was told it was being shipped "this week". After 30 + days I said to cancel the order and refund my money. Days went by, I had to finally threaten reporting them to NFCU fraud department. Money was back in my account next day. I think they use your money and eventually refund it but not until you threaten them.

Yep. They moved to a farm and raised roaster chickens. Traded one smell for another.
