anyone have a geo-thermal heat pump?

I must replace a dying oil furnace in a 1600 sq ft cape cod. Had a heat pump in Howard Co about 20 years ago and loved it.

Would like comments/opinions from anyone who has/had a geo-thermal unit...or other recommendations for this area.

Don't own one, but I understand they're very easy on the electric bill.

The system will run around $13k including 3 or 4 300' wells. I like my oil burner/heat pump for $3.5k. The electric bill will be less but not much.
