Anyone heard of this guy?

Okello Dunkley - Digital SLR Camera Workshops in Virginia, DC, New York, Boston and Your City

He's got a workshop in Baltimore this Sunday I was thinking of attending but wanted some feedback on this guy if anyone's heard of him. I am a super newbie to photography and just recently purchased a DSLR. Just trying to get my feet wet and his classes look like they may do it. Please let me know what you think.

That price is cheap. I would say from looking at his photos and his course layout, it would be well worth the money for you.

He says the right things, and his prices are good. But I wanted to see more than 4 small samples before I could say he produces good results; those 4 could be the best of two dozen or two thousand.

Here is his main site, and here is his photo.net page. He does indeed have good photos ranging from weddings and portraits to landscapes. For you, starting at ground zero, his classes could prove beneficial.

Although, I do question someone who teaches others about proper white balance while some of their own photos are off. And his workshops page design is horrible. At least, you could learn some good information about composition and exposure, so it could still be a positive experience.
