Anyone know what the renovation plans are for Leonardtown Elementary?

I heard trailers behind Banneker in Loveville starting next year while they build a new school? then I heard they were renovating.

ST Mary's today says the plan is released but no linky. The SMCPS web site has no info.

I've gathered from friends that are on the actual planning committee that beginning with the 2006 school year the renovation will begin and should be completed near the end of the 2007-08 school year. Students will utilize the trailers behind Banneker Elem. in the meantime.

So they are renovating the existing LES building and not building a new one?

correct...I don't think that it is in the plans to construct a new LES, just update and renovate the existing school.
