Does she really thinks someone is going to take in a pregnant cat? Hopefully someone will, but what are the odds? Poor cat! People are so selfish and stupid. :frown:

I'm sure someone will, there are plenty of responsible people around here that will take the mom and babies to guarantee they are altered to not be able to repeat this process.

BTW, if any of these responsible people read this, please let us know you did this and what your plans are, I'm sure there would be plenty of people willing to make a $$ to a vet to help take care of these.

I would send out what I could to go towards it. But I am up to my eyeballs in debt. on my care credit already. Not to mention I have another kitten coming my way at the end of this month. So he's going to have to be neutered. I just wish there was something the Government would do to stop all the cat and dog breeding. I know wishful thinking on my part. :frown:

Jack Russells RULE!
(1) Why won't the landlord let her "keep the cat any longer" and (2) why didn't she get her (now) 2 year old cat spayed to avoid this situation?

It seems that the landlord found out about the cat she was housing. A responsible individual would have a cat spayed/neutered. She's in quite a pickle, and I agree with the general consensus that the chances of someone adopting a pregnant cat is slim to none. I seem to recall that after every episode of the Price is Right, Bob Barker would tell everyone to "spay and neuter your pets". Sadly, it appears that this cat is headed right to the euthanization line.

When I bought my house, the previous owners had an un-neutered male cat that they abandoned (basically left it behind for the new homeowner (me!) to take care of) and soon impregnated all the neighborhood strays. After many attempts, I finally captured it, and took it to the vet to get him neutered. Come to find out this abandoned cat had feline AIDS and he had to be put down. I should have mailed the cat to these idiots and let them deal with it.

I've never taken in a pregnant cat, but I took one in that had just had a litter. I found homes for all the babies (6), and the mommy. I kept the last one.

What a judgemental thread. She posted an add...she wants help. This is like yelling at a welfare mom that needs foodstamps. She may not be doing the right thing by this forum, but she is trying to get the needs of the animal met.

Besides...worse comes to worse, they can come be part of the eco system at my place!
