The Board of Commissioners for St. Mary's County and the Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services invite the public to enjoy a fireworks display on Saturday, September 2, 2006, at dusk (approximately 8:45 p.m.), at the St. Mary's County Fairgrounds in Leonardtown. Due to inclement weather on July 4, 2006, the fireworks display planned for the annual Freedom Fest celebration was postponed until Labor Day weekend.
Admission for the fireworks display is free. The Fairground gates will open at 7:00 p.m. and vendors will be available selling food and beverages. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date is Sunday, September 3, 2006.
