AOC Advocates Pardoning Pothead Illegal Aliens

In response, the democratic socialist from New York tweeted her praise, but added that Biden “should treat all people equally and pardon ALL unjust simple possession convictions, not some.”

“If the US is admitting these laws were unjust, then we shouldn’t discriminate pardons based on citizen status,” she added. “Let’s get that liberty and justice for ALL.”

'You Are the Establishment!': AOC Confronted by Angry Constituents at Town Hall

"You ran as an outsider, yet you've voted to start this war in Ukraine; you're voting to start a third nuclear war with Russia and China. Why are you playing with the lives of American citizens?" one heckler asked.

"Tulsi Gabbard has shown guts where you have shown cowardice," another said. "I believed in you, and you became the very thing you sought to fight against. That's what you've become. You are the establishment. And you are the reason everybody will end up in a nuclear war unless you choose to stand up right now and denounce the Democratic Party."

Those comments were met with applause from the few constituents present.

Former Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard made headlines this week for leaving the Democratic Party, accusing its leaders of being "an elitist cabal of warmongers" who are "dragging us ever closer to nuclear war."

I’m not even sure what those people are protesting, and given this is Queens we are talking about, it’s just as likely they are mad at AOC for not being radical enough. Still, I feel confident in going out on a limb and suggesting that comically dancing to people singing about your need to be thrown out of office probably isn’t the best response. The entire point of a town hall is to show you are taking the concerns of your constituents seriously. Mocking them does the opposite.

Then there was this performance where AOC appears to devolve into an imitation of Rosie Perez.

Before that, AOC actually ran out of the room in the face of the protesters and hecklers. The room erupts in cheers after she leaves. The camera then shows her standing in a doorway with what appears to be her personal security before she emerges again.

Ocasio-Cortez Says The Democratic Party Has ‘Never Tried’ With Latino Voters

“I can at least say with Latino voters, we’ve never tried as a party. The Democratic Party has not tried in terms of Latino electorates,” she said.

“We really need to step up both in our efforts on campaign, but also in our efforts in governance,” she noted.

She pointed out that immigration legislation has not resulted in any serious change, even though, as The Hill pointed out, immigration is typically not as important to Hispanic voters as other issues.

“And I mean, where’s our DREAM Act? Where is our immigration reform?” asked Ocasio-Cortez. “And even recently with President Biden’s marijuana executive order, I very much applaud that he went there, but he exempted people who were convicted if they were convicted while they were undocumented.”

“We’re looking at the overwhelming majority of people who have been convicted that would have benefitted from that pardon have status, they have status complications,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

AOC slams Democratic leadership: 'overwhelmingly from one generation'

Speaking on the "Pod Save America" podcast, the Democrat said "I'm not here to sell people on the idea that the leadership of the Democratic Party, which is overwhelmingly from one generation... and overwhelmingly from a lopsided class perspective, is the same as me or you or anything else like that," per the Washington Examiner.

"I think party leadership is a distinct conversation, but I think what actually matters more is — are you excited to vote for anybody on your ballot," she continued. "And the more local you get, I actually think the more flexible and exciting your candidates can be."

One of the youngest Democratic lawmakers, the New York congresswoman is a leading member of the "squad," a group of four progressive representatives within the party who are both among its youngest and most left-leaning figures.
