Apple Orchards

Can someone give me the names of apple orchards in So Md?

We visited Bowles Farm and Forrest Hill Farm this past Sunday. While both were okay, we were really looking for somewhere to get fresh-pressed cider and homemade baked goods.

Is there such a place down here in So Md?

Can't help ya there but look for the "Made In China" sticker first-these days, China produces 1.5 billion bushels of apples a year-about half the world's supply, and nearly 7 X's the American production of about 215 million bushels a year. Who woulda thunk it! :whistle:

Cherry Hill Farm is an excellent place, however the farm has been bought and will only be open until shortly after Thanksgiving

Thanks! I went to the website and realized that they are the same people who made the apple cider donuts at the Lions Club Craft Fair for several years when it was held on the Curtis Farm just outside of Waldorf. I didn't realize they were located in Piscataway. What a shame that they have sold the farm. Apple orchards and farms as such are rare anymore - I guess that's what happens when the developers make an "offer they can't refuse."
