April 2 Riding Clinic with Mary O'Connor

The St. Mary's Riding Club (SMRC) is sponsoring a clinic with Mary O'Connor, an experienced and well known equestrian instructor, judge and barn manager, on April 2 at Mt. Olive Farm in Valley Lee. The SMRC is underwriting the cost of this clinic which is open to riders of all abilities.

Clinic sessions start at 9 am on April 2 and groups will be organized based on ability and riding interests. The cost to non-SMRC members is $50, SMRC members $25.

Advanced registration is required so that riders can be grouped according to interest and ability, jumping and non-jumping. Contact Betsy Fritz at BetsyFritz57@aol.com or call (301) 475-2066 to register.

The clinic will start at 9 am and lessons will be scheduled throughout the day. Each session is about 1 hour 20 minutes. Pre-payment is also required. Mail Checks payable to the St. Mary’s Riding Club to PO Box 1623, Leonardtown, Maryland 20650.

The clinic will be held rain or shine (indoor riding arena available) at Mt. Olive Farm, 45433 Drayden Road, Valley Lee. Directions: From Rt. 5, turn onto Rt. 249, then turn left on Drayden Road (Valley Lee Firehouse is on the corner) proceed about 3/4 mile and the farm is on the right. Mt. Olive Farm is owned by Dan and Donna O’Connor. Upon arrival, all participants must sign a riding waiver, and minors must have a parent or guardian available for signature.
