Arafat won the Nobel Peace prize. Yet he is leader of the PLO. Yet Bush won again. Change, do you think?
I don't think that Arafat is gay. But I am happy that he will die a painful death, in the next three months. (Heard it here!)
He is no peace activist, he has sanctioned attacks on Israelis for 30 years. I don't support Israel, they are "grown up". But the Peace Prize?? Come on, for a terrorist? Again, a Clintonism. Done, gone, history. He will die with no fanfare. Arafat is an image of Carter, has ridden his fame since, when he first came on the American scene.

Hopefully one of his henchmen will beat the other dogs down and take control. I just hope whoever it is has the ability to deal with the broader issue of negotiating a deal.
I have a pessimistic feeling that it really doesn't matter who heads the PLO they will remain a barbaric blood thirsty bunch of scum. The problem with the PLO is the "O" part is not a real "O" Arafat never really had control of and "Organization" It at best is a loosely connected batch of gangs.
