Are people just stupid?

Makes it specifically their fault.

LOL.

Yet Bush had 8 years to fix the problem but did absolutely nothing?

:killingme
Read the whole post. I said that the republicans were also at fault, but I blame the dems a lot more. They created the situation, and had two years to fix it themselves when it was coming to a head.

I've already said Joe Biden. If it were between him and McCain, I could have crossed party lines.

Prior to all the Obamamania, I intended to vote for Bob Barr. But not anymore - now I will be happy to cast my vote AGAINST the Obama disciples. I've said that numerous times.
Gotcha.

I knew that you were okay with Biden, I didn't realize you were okay enough with him to vote for him over McCain.

Another thing I was mistaken about is when you officially hopped onto McCain's wagon. I could've sworn it was at the exact same time Palinmania kicked off.

Show me the magic wand d******. Show me what real power the President has over the economy. Show me where he makes stuff cheaper, or money magically appear in my paycheck, or banks mystically not loan money they shouldn't, or changes interest rates, or reduces inflation, or makes stock prices go up, or makes GDP go up, or can wave his hand and change the stage of the boom/bust cycle that we're in. Show me how the President has the power to alter the way a capitilistic economy works. Don't hurt yourself. In the grand scheme, what he does is almost nothing.
well then i guess we have nothing to fear from an obama presidency do we?

Which of the original candidates for the 2008 Democratic nomination could you have voted for over McCain?
Edwards. for me.
still to the left, but his left leanings are pretty tied with McCain.

They're out to get us
McCain is giving a speech in Tampa, and just said he would fight against pork bills and not give Americans' hard earned money away.

Didn't he vote for the bailout???

And his audience cheered that!
yes people are stupid, I always make this argument

I don't know how McCain can stop pork from the president's office. What's he gonna do, turn down a bill that would be great, but has some pork? That's why these stupid pork-loaded bills always get through. If you delay on some of these things, bad stuff happens. The fix needs to be from the Senate/House...but obviously constituents want their Senators/Reps fighting for pork, since they might as well if all the others will.

Oh well. I guess the audience cheered his good intentions, not his actions.

I run through the list of Democrats who might have run and didnt. Kennedy the swimmer, Chuck the Schmuck, Pelousy, Harry Reid, Waters Barney Frank, Charlie -pay your taxes-Rangel, Cold cash Jeffries. Nope cant think of a Democrat I would have voted for, but then voting for one is pretty much like voting for all. They all toe the same liberal line. Right now I wish I had backed Hillary in the Primary, at least she has a birth certificate and her mentors werent terrorists.

the two biggest things that turned me off of Hillary is when she made the statement that she was going to TAKE the oil companies profits, and her desire for socialized health care.
other than that I figure she wasnt any more of a stuffed shirt (skirt) than any other politician.
But to elect and illegal is just beyond my ability to understand.

...after some checking, I retract those last two sentences.

The day Palinmania kicked off is exactly when you changed your mind and said you would vote for McCain.

Just like every practically every other Rightie on this board.

Correct. And then I changed my mind again after he voted for the bailout.

THEN I changed it back when Obamamania went completely overboard and got ignorant.

Someone on the TV fed you that line of bull, because the fact is that Palin energized Republicans who were lackluster about McCain. The only ones who hated her were...Democrats.

AND, with regard to the financial mess, WHO has been running Congress for the last two years?

That's right - Democrats.

So get off that bull about how Republicans tanked the economy or stood by and did nothing.
