Kerad, this is the sort of ignorant crap I'm voting against.
You're voting against somebody posting a legitimate picture of McCain...ummm...walking(?)?

Is that because nobody would ever think of posting any pictures of Obama which may show him in a negative/humorous light. No way, not on these boards. :killingme

Someone on the TV fed you that line of bull, because the fact is that Palin energized Republicans who were lackluster about McCain. The only ones who hated her were...Democrats.
Energized and then completely sucked the life out of it.

AND, with regard to the financial mess, WHO has been running Congress for the last two years?
And I thought you were smart.

If you think this disaster came about in 2 years - well - I don't know what to say about that.

I certainly don't think that. But Democrats have had two years of being in charge of BOTH houses of Congress, and they have done nothing.

So don't blame just the Republicans for this mess. And you certainly can't blame Bush at all, because he had nothing to do with it.

Executive
Legislative
Judicial

Feel free to google and find out what each branch of our government is responsible for.

It is amazing what an all out mud slinging media blitz will do to a person. Her kids, her accent, her state, her former brother in law, her husband, he clothes, nothing was off limits to the attacks.

You are right, this did not happen in 2 years but Fannie and Freddie's problems were brought up by Bush and the republicans in 2003 and again in 2005 and it was blocked by democrats. Perhaps you didn't see the video of the congressional hearings where the democrats praised the Fannie and Freddie executives and denied there were any problems and did not need regulation. Did you see the Maxine Waters video in the House Finance Committee heaping praise on Fannie Mae executives, or the fact Barney Frank's boyfriend was a Fannie Mae executive while Frank was fighting back regulatory reforms?

There is plenty of blame to go around for this boondoggle BUT you must be willing to call a spade a spade and admit the democrats in their obstructionist vitriolic way have a HUGE portion of the blame if you are to have ANY credibility.

So what you're saying is that the POTUS has no control over anything?

No one did anything.

But, you would think that the head man in charge just maybe would have had the foresight to do something about it...

8 years of a Repub president and all you can say is that - the dems for the last 2 years did nothing?

:killingme

You seem to forget that the repubs controlled congress during his first term. Oh wait... That completely slipped your mind, right?

Please stop.. You're killing me...

No doubt.

They are all responsible. Every last stinking one of them.

But, we (the middle-working class) are not better off now because of the last 8 years.

In fact:

Notice how after 2000, since the implementation of the BUSH cuts, the median income has shrunk. AWESOME!

You're right, it took about 10 years, and the democrat led House to kill a Republican sponsored bill asking for more regulation and oversight on Fannie and Freddie, and the general housing finance market.

...after some checking, I retract those last two sentences.

The day Palinmania kicked off is exactly when you changed your mind and said you would vote for McCain.

Just like every practically every other Rightie on this board.
This proves that some of us are able to think for ourselves and change our minds based on new information as apposed to just following THE ONE for the sake of mindlessly following THE ONE.

How many people are voting for BO simply because he's black?
