Are there any good child care centers for autistic

This is my first time posting but I need help with finding successful child care centers that can deal with children with high functing autism in calvert county. My son is 9 and has had some very difficult experience with past daycares, are there any parents that have gone thru the same thing and found success? I just need a step in the rite direction. Is he in the public school system? Calvert Country School is a very good school for children with disabilities. I would think they school(s) would be able to recommend daycare as well.

It depends on the county you live in. If you live in Calvert, they will take him at Calvert Country School depending on age. They have a great program. All else fails get ahold of the Health Dept. They can help with all kinds of stuff and will be involved in your childs reviews when he is in school.

Yes he is in school he'll be going in the third grade this year. The schools don't really reccommend any daycares but they do offer social groups and activities after school. With me working i need something for before and after school. I actually had him in the school daycare but they just couldn't deal they didn't have the education is what they told me. But I will check out social services maybe they will be a big help. Thank u.

Have you gone through any reviews at his school yet? The reason I ask is that the Health Dept will be there for the review, at least in Calvert County, and they can steer you in the right direction. The lady assigned to my son is great.

for what school - he'll need a daycare for his school zone won't he?

When it comes to Children with special needs calvert county schools will have a bus pick up and drop off ur child at any residence or daycare. Us living in chesapeake beach they would have a bus go all the way to lusby if the AISLE program transfered to a school down there
