I SAID IT YES I DID !
Our goverment has failed the American people with sky high fuel prices, food cost, utilitys, etc. Now it's time for the people of America to act by taking off 2 weeks from work and not spending doing the Memorial Day weekend 2008 this will rattle the cage if Americans stop working and not spend for 2 weeks.

Unless I'm mistaken, this is a Democratic country and YOU elected those people into office. It's not the GOVERNMENT'S FAULT, it's bad choices made by you and me and our elected officials. High fuel prices are not a result of government, but monopoly fuel companies, PRIVATELY OWNED.

How on earth is not spending for 2 weeks going to help anything at all, except put local business people out of business?? Explain your concept....

Yeah, these ideas always work. That would show them.

You'd have better luck drilling for oil in your own back yard.

not to mention, if gas prices are killing you, how the eff are you supposed to live if you dont go to work for 2 weeks? the people who cant afford gas aren't going to have 2 weeks of leave to use......

I got an idea, almost as good as raven's I think. Lets do a forum group buy on rollerskates. For the whole summer everyone will protest the oil companies by rollerskating to work everyday.

Sorry if you have to commute more than a few miles.

...we all start walking to the East at the same time and build up speed, we can reverse the Earth's rotation and turn back time! Then, when we get back far enough, we can stop and build fuel tanks in our basements and buy a whole bunch of cheap gas and then let the earth resume it's normal rotation!

Can we do this around the 2nd week of August? I'll be out of the country at that time and won't be making purchases anyway.
