Now, of course, this is a judgment which they are making upon another person, which means, if their interpretation of this verse is correct, then what they are doing is wrong. After all, they are saying that telling people they are wrong is wrong, so they should stop telling judgmental people it is wrong to judge.

You don't need a biblical excuse to be sanctimonious and judgmental. Just be yourself.

I see a lot of people are afraid of taking a stand.

There's a commentary that discusses Matthew 7.

Some cautions about reproving. Because we must not judge others, which is a great sin, it does not therefore follow that we must not reprove others, which is a great duty, and may be a means of saving a soul from death however, it will be a means of saving our souls from sharing in their guilt. Now observe here,

It is not every one who is fit to reprove. Those who are themselves guilty of the same faults of which they accuse others, or of worse, bring shame upon themselves, and are not likely to do good to those whom they reprove, Matthew 7:3-5.​

So judging and reproving are two different things. People seem to forget that.
