I got sucked into the Octolab videos - octopuses are smarter than many humans.....I personally know people who would be like, oh well, this is my life now.....

That is so cool.I see it as more of a memory thing than a logic thing. In each cage the octopus seems to remember everywhere he/she has been trying to get out and instead of revisiting those places he/she keeps searching new places and eventually finds the escape route. Of course this shows some logic in that he/she logically knows that the first attempt didn't work so why try it again? Maybe if we had politicians like the octopuses.....
