I am a farmer. I talk to other farmers. The majority of farmers still support Trump and his trade position with China. Farmers don’t always support the national organizations. These organizations make money playing politics.

Trump made a sweet deal for them with Japan. And rural America is NOT going to vote for Socialism.

I think it was George Carlin who made the observation that voters don't typically vote FOR someone - they cast their vote for the person who they think will screw them LESS.

None of those running for the Democratic nomination have given me any reason to believe they won't make my life WORSE.

They're talking about farmers and Trump right now on the channel I'm watching and you're a farmer and a real source rather than the generic farmers they're talking about right now. There are reports that Trump has instructed aides to get aggressive on the fence and to seize private land among other things and they will be pardoned should any laws be broken. Unless the reporting is inaccurate, some of this land, either is, or has the potential to be farmland. I'm aware of eminent domain in this country, but that would irritate the crap out of me if it was happening to me. How do you feel about it?

I do not agree with eminent domain. I would be torn in the case of building the wall but in the end, a person should be allowed to do with his property as they see fit, and if that means not selling to the government then that is the property owner's right. So build the wall on either side of and up to those property owners who don't want the wall and let the laws of least resistance take over and any consequences there of.

Pretty much the same story of this administration...Trump is making things worse not better.
We have ethanol plants all over Indiana, one is 2 miles north of the town I live in, the tractor trailers full of corn are backed up easily a mile every morning, That plant runs 7 days, 365 days a year like the rest of the ethanol plants in Indiana. They are all at full capacity.
Your article is bullshit.

The price of corn has been artificially kept low for years.

What about soybeans and all the other crops we export?

Ever seen the cost of a 200hp 4 wheel drive tractor or a combine? Hell a 24 row planter can easily cost 250 grand.
The farmers are doing ok...
