Recently I got stupid and let my computer do an upgrade. It installed ask.com on my internet explorer and I can't get it back to Google. Anyone had this happen? Yes, I've gone into the options and tried to change it many times. It doesn't work. Ask keeps showing up as my search engine.

Pay particular attention to the latter part of instructions. Ask DOES make it harder sometimes.

Looked for that. Must be mixed with another program. I think McCafee might be the culprit.

Have you tried changing the settings in Internet Explorer? I'm not that familiar with IE but with Google Chrome, I often do that when I accidentally changed the default search engine from Google into another search engine like ask.com. Also, I think I was able to uninstall ask.com before through Control Panel -> remove programs.
