AT&T announces shared data plans; keeps old plans

Pricing looks comparable to Verizon's - a bit cheaper if you get more data (and have several lines), a bit pricier if you get less. The way AT&T's plans are structured, it looks like it may actually be cheaper for accounts with many phones to buy more data than it would be for them to buy less data.

AT&T Gives Customers More Choice with New Shared Wireless Data Plans | AT&T

AT&T* customers will soon have more options in choosing the plan that’s right for them and their mobile devices. With new AT&T Mobile Share plans, available in late August, new and existing customers can share a single bucket of data across smartphones, tablets, and other compatible devices, plus get unlimited talk and text. AT&T Mobile Share plans make it easy for customers to manage their data, voice minutes and texting, without needing to keep track of multiple plans.

Big difference is it is just another 'plan' you can pick from AT&T instead of being slammed into it as Verizon is doing...

I still have my original unlimited data plan and I ain't letting go of it!
