At what age did you decide ...

Well, Ive always been attracted to men with dark hair. All of my ex's look like they could be brothers. Ironically, the women I find most attractive (actresses and such) all have dark hair as well like Angelina and Monica Belluci. Why? I have no idea, thats a really good question! I used to dig Prince Derek from The Little Mermaid as a kid, maybe thats why.
That is interesting. Years ago there was a psychological study conducted, and it was found that we as adults are attracted to - basically - the same sort person, throughout our lives. Let's say you go to a party and you are standing there having a drink/cocktail and you are single - and you are looking to find someone, um, "interesting".

Apparently, there is a certain type of individual that you always seem to be attracted to. Nothing radical, nothing "too far out there" just someone who - you seem to find - that you have always "identified with". (if that makes any sense.)

Has anyone found this to be true as well?

Ok, this is a little more to the basic side of the matter: When you see a woman at a party, or a get together if you will, what is the first thing that you are attracted to?

Hair color, her legs, her touche, her smile, her eyes? What is the first thing you notice?

What attracts you - initially?

In my life, everything from her voice to her smile to her perfume to body features, to her hair, what she has to say, to how she carries herself when she walks.

There isn't much of a pattern for me. Height, body features, race, hair color, background.

I have to be honest: A great pair of legs has always caught my attention.

After that, a nice rear end. Boobs - well they are kinda cool too! :lmao:

I guess every one of us men - have things(about a lady) that we - what? - prioritize with?

If she has a flat chest - are you excited? :cds:

Sure. I dated a fine young lady in high school who was rather...modest in that regard. I have yet to meet a woman I couldn't readily find something I found attractive about her. Not a one. That doesn't mean I attracted to everyone in terms of 'hey, baby, wanna go get a jelly doughnut?'. It just means women are attractive to me.

Alright, I'm with you - I agree.

These days, when I meet a woman that appears to be attractive - it's her eyes that get to me first.

Nothing beats a beautiful pair of blue eyes, oh heck - green eyes too!

Sometimes, you can get totally lost, looking into a woman's eyes, so much that you get embarrased - because - you got caught staring at her eyes!

And, you find yourself - dropping your own glances -(oh hell!) because you just gave yourself up! :killingme

Tilted, I'm rather late to your forum :jet:
but wanted to contribute to your study in sociology or whatever it is!

I never decided. It just was. I guess it was sometime around the "tweens" I discovered BOYS! :yahoo:

I distinctly remember the little boy who lived in the apartment building next to us (shout out to Forrestville Apartments! Woot!) He was about 7 or 8 I'd guess... and he'd walk around with his mother's knit poncho on his head and flip it like he had long hair. He didn't do it jokingly... but rather AS IF he had long flowing hair. I'll bet he knew his preference by that age.

I asked in another thread: "How much do you think Peer Presure has had to do with a person's decision, within themselves - concerning their sexual preferences?"

What say you?

Are you saying that peer pressure could have made you gay?

Are you sure there wasn't ONE homosexual in the pack of guys you ran with??

I'm pretty sure there was one. At LEAST one.

Don't confuse willful deviation and experimentation with gender characteristics one is born with.... two different things.
