Then he wasn't serious.

If I was seriously going to do it, I'd tie a bungie cord around my ankles, and a piano-wire around my neck that was at least 20 feet shorter than the bungie cord.

Then I'd go to the top of the T-J bridge and tie both piano wire, and bungie cord around one of the obstruction light posts.

Then I'd Krazy-Gloo each hand to the side of my head.

Then I'd take the jump.

When they found me, I'd be hanging upside down holding my head.

Be careful listening. Now they are dispatching for a female who took 4 aspirin trying to commit suicide.

I don't want to sound rude or insensitive, but some people will obviously do anything for attention. 4 aspirin? Common now.

Although I have to say that I'm happy neither of these cases ended in an actual suicide. It's a cowardly way to go and not fair to the loved ones that they would have left behind.

I noticed the other night while sitting in traffic, there's a solar powered phone at the top of the bridge for the crisis hotline

Cowardly may be a strong word considering you haven't walked in there shoes... Pain is an individual thing and what may not bother one person may be catestrophic (sp) to another.

You're right. People who are in so much pain and feel so desperate that they want to end their lives don't consider how it will affect others. It is all about ending their unbearable pain.

WDF. So worth the wait.

I have worked off and on for years taking calls for suicide hotlines. Almost without fail anyone who was serious about taking their own life believed, without doubt, that the people around them would be better off without them.
