I actually had a chance to get online and post so :howdy:

I guess it's been a couple months since I have been on here, well not since my computer got a virus.

I'll never catch up on what I have missed but at least I can just say Hi

Did you get a new computer or fix the old one?

they fixed it, well sort of, after a few days they said they re loaded virus stuff and found nothing wrong. I still get a black screen showing no hard drive found so I have not been using it much

Yeah I would suppose not, LOL.

If you have a SATA drive in a machine with an older OS etc... it may be of benefit to disable AHCI.

Also, you might try booting to DOS or command prompt (recovery console) if you can get there, and typing "FIXBOOT C:" (XP and 2000 only) or "FIXMBR \Device\HardDisk0". Probably won't help but worth a shot.

It's still on the back burner. If I ever buy another house, it's going to be new.
