Wrong. Every prosecutor that was fired is a republican. They were all appointed by GWB in 2001. They were fired because, unlike the recent republican congresses, they would not follow lockstep with the Bush administration. They had the audacity actually honor their oath of office and prosecute people based on the facts.

And actually had the audacity to do what a president has the authority to do: Fire prosecutors is he so choses.

Oh gee, did anyone mention Clinton fired all 93 when he first took office and another 30 in his 8 tenure? Not a peep from anyone. Politics stink to high heaven. :bigwhoop:

Oh no, someone is making Bush look bad. Quick, arm the deflection device.... it's all Clinton's fault, it's all Clinton's fault!

The issue is NOT that Bush's henchmen ordered the firing of the Federal prosecutors. They are political appointees and are subject to firing by the current administration (ask Linda Tripp about that). The issue is that there seems to be some political wrangling behind the scenes that led to the firings. If the firings occurred because the prosecutors refused to pursue political agendas, then the administration has a problem. If not, they have nothing to worry about. If Bush has nothing to hide, then he should allow testimony from everyone involved and let the Dems eat a big sh*t sandwich. Refusing to allow people to testify, cherry picking those who CAN testify, only contributes to the appearance of wrong doings.

Political wranglings by a bunch of politicians? NOOOOOOOOOOO :jameo:

Give me a break. The president can fire prosecutors for political reasons or for just not liking them. It's completely at his discretion. The onslaught by the dems at every opportunity is getting sickening. When they can't get Bush on the war they move on to warrantless wire-taps. When they can’t get Bush on warrantless wiretaps they move on to Plame. When they can’t get Bush on Plame they move on the Walter Reed. When they can’t get him on Walter Reed they try to get him on the firing of prosecutors. Democrats have proven they have no REAL agenda in Congress except to create things to have hearings on and try to take someone down politically. That’s what they do. No real plan, just political destruction.
