Avenmar Wedding Reception Help

If anyone out there has held their wedding reception at the Avenmar Clubhouse in Leonardtown, I need some ideas/help. I am having a small wedding there in the summer (less then 60 total), but wanted to know where you got tables and chairs from? Also, how did it work to set everything up? Did you have to pay for two days of rentals in order to set them up the night before (Friday) and be ready to go on Saturday? Any ideas, suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I would think you would want to ask Avenmar Clubhouse personnel. They are the ones who would be able to give you specific rules for setup. You would not want to take the word of someone off the street as to how that works.

They should also be able to give you ideas as to where you can get tables/chairs etc. There are several rental places in our area.

Thank you for your reply! I have spoken with them and they only provide a limited number of tables and chairs, which results in me needing to rent the rest (actually all, since I want them to match). They were helpful in giving me some ideas with who does rentals, such as Baileys in Leonardtown and a place in Solomons. I was just hoping to get some input from someone who has held a reception at this specific location for possible table arragnement ideas, and where they rented from. So I didn't really consider that just someone of the street. Since we do not have a wedding cordinator, I was just seeing how and when a previous bride/groom set everything up. Like, do you have to rent for two days in order to have everything ready for Saturday by Friday night?

Since Avenmar gave you Bailey's, I will second them. Bill is great and can help to advise you on set up. Do you really want the stress of setting up tables and chairs and decorations on the day of the wedding? Won't you be better able to relax and prepare for the ceremony if you know that its all done?

Thank you bresamil. I would love to be able to relax and prepare instead of setting up lol, but my dilema is this: Even if someone comes and sets up the tables and 2 sets of chairs (chairs will be outside for ceremony and inside for reception), I will still need to be there to set up the rest. Like my linens, centerpieces, etc. Unless anyone has any other ideas. I guesst that's why I was hoping to get all the tables and chairs Friday so everything would be ready to go on Saturday!

There has to be some family member or member of the wedding party you can ask to set the tables if you have no caterer. Use your friends wisely.

:yeahthat:

You have enough to worry about without having to act as your own caterer and you should not have to "work" on your wedding day. Recruit friends and family to do the heavy lifting and take advice from the rental company regarding setup, etc. since they've done it before. Either that or hire a professional wedding coordinator who will handle the logistics and give you peace of mind. Good luck!
