My Great Uncle was a tail gunner in a B-17 in the South Pacific in WW2 he told us some stories of how he used to shoot down Jap Zeros.

Boys used to lie about their age in order to join the military and fight for their country. Now men lie about their gender in order to avoid ever having to be placed in danger when joining the military.

I flew 35 missions in a B-24 Liberator out of Italy in 44/45............ riding in my fathers nutsack. 455th BG 720 squadron as a bombardier.
