Saturday, April 25th, is the annual Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) (South Mountain Chapter) 100 mile ride. Registration is from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Snakeman’s Leather, 5822 Urbana Pike, Frederick, MD. Kickstands up at 11:00. The ride ends at Journeys Road House, 10034 Hansonville Road, Frederick, MD. The cost is $15.00 per person and ALL proceeds go to fighting child abuse.

Help B.A.C.A. help the children (and have a great time and make new friends while you’re at it). Please note that although this ride is beginning and ending in Frederick and it is the South Mountain Chapter of B.A.C.A. that is sponsoring it, B.A.C.A. members go where they are needed – no boundaries.

For additional information, you can contact B.A.C.A. via email at bacafrederick@yahoo.com.

I just saw this. My cousin "Cowboy" was a member of BACA in Kansas and he passed away on Saturday the 25th. I'll always miss him very much.

We are big supporters of B.A.C.A. They are heroes in my mind and always will be. We heard about Cowboy's tragic and unusual accident. His motorcycle will be parked INSIDE the "pearly gates" when the rest of arrive.

R.I.P. (ride in peace) Mr. Cowboy!

Thank you. Yes, it was very unusal accident. I received the phone call last Saturday evening, and I just fell to the floor crying and in shock. Today, I had job interview this afternoon, and I had to put on my brave face and did my best for the job interview. It wasn't easy, but I did it.

His visitation was on tonight and service tomorrow morning. I'm unable to fly out for the funeral.

Did you watch the youtube video that B.A.C.A. made in honor of my cousin?

I did see a video. Not sure if it the one you are referring to. It was anchored by a newswoman and then by a man in one of those orange road vests. It was really touching and the president of his chapter was crying.

No, that wasn't the one I was referring to. B.A.C.A. created a video of my cousin on youtube with bunch of pictures of him.
