Revelation 18:21 Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:
“With such violence
the great city of Babylon will be thrown down,
never to be found again.
22 The music of harpists and musicians, pipers and trumpeters,
will never be heard in you again.
No worker of any trade
will ever be found in you again.
The sound of a millstone
will never be heard in you again.
23 The light of a lamp
will never shine in you again.
The voice of bridegroom and bride
will never be heard in you again.
Your merchants were the world’s important people.
By your magic spell all the nations were led astray.
24 In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people,
of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.”
Let's see what the commentary holds.Shall not be heard… shall be found anymore… shall to be heard in you anymore… shall not shine in you anymore: In graphic and poetic language, John describes how the industry and commerce of Babylon will come to an end.
For by your sorcery all the nations were deceived: Sorcery is the Greek word pharmakia, which means, “to prepare drugs.” The lure of commercial Babylon is like a drug addiction, fed by deceptive advertising.
In her was found the blood of prophets and saints: God takes the persecution of His people as a personal offense. Those who attack His people really attack Him.
Some people just won't Believe. No matter what we do or say, no matter what Jesus does or says, they just won't listen. They will only believe what they think is the truth. They will buy the snake's rhetoric. Makes sense... right? I mean we're only telling them what Jesus told us to say because we only believe what we think is the truth. Of course, our truth is the only truth... right? Get it? The millstone the Angel will heave into the sea will destroy more of the battlefield and knock out more of the lost souls still refusing to believe.
Remember... the sea turned to something like dry blood back when the bowls were poured out.... that millstone is going to be thrown into the earth where the sea used to make oxygen. What air there was.... will now be full of something like dry blood particles. That's got to make taking a breath really difficult.
Babylon, that city of commerce and fakes, will be taken out by force. God's going to make an Angel capable of throwing. It's not a shotput.... it's a millstone... solid rock.... at least 3/4 ton according to some articles.... so, it's going to be hurled with all the force the Angel was built to hurl. It will kick up a lot of crap when it hits that dead dried up sea.
Babylon will no longer babble on!
