I was just wondering if anyone know of any good babysitters in the area Not an everyday sitter. Just someone on a as needed basis. When mom needs a break in the evening or on the weekends. TIA

It would probably be easier to help you if you were more specific about what area you are in and the number of children /ages that you need care for.

Another suggestion is to contact the closest high school. Many will have a job board that teens can use to aid in finding part time work.

If you look in the classifieds on somd.com, there are often several listings of teens willing to babysit in the area.

Good luck trying to find a teen willing to take on that much responsibility.

Youre nuts. Get another hobby.

If I had 112 kids it is not any of your business, I was just asking a friendly question. You don't know me or my family so you have no right to tell ANYONE to choose a new hobby, my children are not considered a hobby.

Hey, get a life. Were just having a little fun humor at your expense. And now it seems you want to make it easier for us. Thank you.

Oh and by the way, sorry about your husband. Seriously, it must be hard for you.

That is sad. You do need a break. I don't know anyone, though. Sorry.

I'm sorry about your husbands passing. I could not imagine the huge responsibilty that you have now had to take on alone. I know it must be really hard but you will survive! On those days when you think all is lost you will find the strength to move on. My son is 17, he may know of some teenage girls looking for an occasional babysitting gig. It may be alot for them to take on but maybe there are a pair of sisters that could help out. I would maybe suggest (not that you would not do this already)having them come in at first while you are there to supervise their capabilities. I wish I could help and if you lived closer even I can do it.

There used to be a website you could go to and find daycare providers in the area, I will try to find that for you.

Sorry that your feelings were hurt by the members of this forum. I think initially it was intended as a joke but I can understand with the loss of your husband how it would have hurt.
