Why would a doctor order an X-ray of the lumbar/sacchrum (sp?) region after he has the MRI results?
So he's thinking I've got something cracked or broken?X-rays have better resolution for bone. MRI's offer better contrast in soft tissue.

No necessarily. I got an x-ray when I pulled my back. Maybe he wants to look at your discs or something.
