Backyard Pets

The most we have seen in the backyard at one time (so far) is eleven. And we live in a subdivision. Not a lot of houses and lots of greenspace around the houses. But there is a house very near the other side of the wall in this shot.

Be careful what you wish for. Those kind of backyard pets will tear up any kind of plantings you may have around the house. Especially gardens.

Best way to solve the problem is a compound box and a slow cooker. Mmmmmmm.

Is that where you use a big ole box, a stick and a pull string?

You can't really have much in the way of plants up here on the hill. They seem to leave knockout roses alone but they have come up on the neighbors porch and eaten the things out of her planter. They don't seem to care for rosemary though. We have a shrub sized bush of that in the front garden and they have left it alone. Azaleas seem to be safe as well.
