I am also disturbed by diving accidents.

Do you think it's the speed with which one leaves the board or is it the texting while dismounting that is the primary factor in the increase in diving accidents in Southern Maryland?

What's up with all these bad accidents in SoMD? People don't know how to drive anymore or what? Two fatal over the weekend, roll over Monday on 235. Another bad one last night on 235 at Mechanicsville Rd. It's getting like Death Race 2012 around here...

Mechanicsville Accident Shuts Down Rt 5 | Southern Maryland News Net

Returning to the topic that Kwillia so rudely interrupted:

The two over the weekend were invincible kids doing stupid things and learning the hard way that they are not invincible.

The roll over wasn't that serious, it was just noticed because it was dramatic.

I don't think it's a trend, it's more like a coincidence.

We go through these spurts every year. There's usually two or three times a year in each county where bad accidents seem like they're really frequent.
