There is something you can buy to give the puppy to stop this kind of behavior.

But the one thing that will help this is to pick up the dog shiat and put it in the garbage

I've heard that this usually stems from the pup being bored. Try those toys that you can stuff with peanut butter or treats for him to lick out.

Get a cat litter box and a cat. He'll eat the cat crap instead of his own.
