It's a very small business and they haven't been in operation long. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.
They've been a sponsor of Somd.com for a couple of years now. Nice people, seem to know what they're doing.

Well, I've been in contact; this week actually; to see about getting car insurance with them. State Farm; after having been with them for 24 years, they drop me because of ONE missed premium payment in all those 24 years. "Well, didn't you get letters?" I did, I guess, but if they send me stuff with "Bulk Mail" postage, I don't open it. I don't pay attention to Bulk Mail; I throw it away. That practice came back to bite me.
The thing that pi**ed ME off is that I never got a phone call or letter or e-mail or anything from the S.F. agent telling me anything.
I only found out about the lapsed insurance and "dead tags" after I got stopped by State. So S.F. is on MY sh*t list.
Sorry.....didn't mean for this to turn into a S.F.-bashing post.

So because you didnt pay your bill on time State Farm is on your #### list
Not to seem heartless or anything, but I know I have to pay my insurance (and most of my other bills mortgage, car payment,etc..)and know when they are due. I dont need someone calling to remind me... sure that is a nice gesture but it isnt required, and most companies dont do that.

It's common practice for ALL industries that we, the consumer, are responsible for our payment schedules and knowing when and what is due.

We have all our policy’s through them.
Auto, Boat and Home. Including a life insurance policy for me.
Everything is with Erie. Best Rates we've ever seen...
Now my opinion about the Bahrs may be a little biased since we are friends with them... But they are very professional and committed to their clients

THIS IS NOT ABOUT ME TRYING TO GET OUT OF PAYING WHAT I KNOW I OWE. OKAY?
SINCE I APPARENTLY HAVE TO EXPLAIN MYSELF NOW, I WILL.
I DID PAY THE PREMIUM. I MAILED THEM A D*MN CHECK. (A SEPERATE BONE OF CONTENTION FOR ANOTHER TIME).
ANYWAY.....THE CHECK GOT LOST IN THE MAIL. SO THE PAYMENT WAS NEVER MADE; WHICH IS NOW WHY I PAY ALMOST ALL OF MY BILLS ONLINE.

So again it is their fault your check got lost?
I suggest you call Bahr Insurance and ask them if you dont pay your bill on time if they will cover your lapse of insurance, because State Farm wouldnt. I am interested to hear their response

I just wrote a policy for car and home owners ins with Bahr Insurance
Ageny, Erie to be exact.
I found them to be very professional and great rates! I had State Farm
and Erie beat their rates.
