So what happens when the two strong, successful women get together to discuss faith and marriage?

Well, it was a conversation Marie Claire likely wouldn’t appreciate, having slammed Bure for “setting women back approximately a billion years” for choosing to have a more submissive role in her own marriage.

“I almost thought that that Marie Claire tweet was a fake,” Bure admitted. “Like, really? They’re tweeting this out? OK…”

The actress explained that she based her decision to be more submissive on her faith, which she has proudly discussed in the past. She cited 1 Peter 3:1 as one of the most influential verses in the matter.

“Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, so that even if they do not obey the Word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wife,” Bure said from memory. “[And] I grabbed onto that verse because my husband wasn’t really a believer. And so I went, ‘he can be shown God without my saying a word.’”

Good for her for finding a balance and having a partner willing to step up and help keep the balance. for her, she found guidance in her religion.

However, you don't have to be a religous woman to come to the realization that a marrage, partnership, will work best when she learns to actually let go of thinking she needs to be aware of, on top of and in control of all aspects of their life and trust in her husband to do his part without having to nag or demand he do it her way.

And the other part of the equation is for the husbands to love their wives as they love themselves - treating them with respect and affection and being willing to sacrifice for them. (Ephesians 5:25-33)
