Ball Joint replacement - 2004 Ford F250 SuperDuty

I have some really squeaky ball joints.

Anyone have a good idea how much it would cost to get all four (upper and lowers) replaced? I had someone look at the truck and said that they looked good, however, they squeak like crazy when you turn the wheel.

Everything I have read says, if they squeak, replace them. I am pretty good working on most general stuff on the vehicle, but I don't believe ball joints would be one of them.

I have heard some crazy prices from a couple hundred dollars to nearly $2000.00 (which I don't believe, and don't have either).

Just looking for an idea... and if there is someone that people would recommend to do the work.

Maybe that high estimate of $2000 is to replace the entire control arm versus just the ball joints. On one of my Fords, the ball joints can be replaced if you have a ball joint press but Ford says they're not servicable and to replace the entire control arm.

I had them replace on my other halfs 2k expedition and it was about 250 each side. The tech told me, noise is not really the issue, is play that you dont want.

Quick calculation without knowing more info, I would quote this job at about
$1000.00, including the alignment.

That one of the super duty weak links is the ball joints, alot of them were replaced under warranty, auto zone will rent you the tool to press them in and out, it just takes a lil time
