Ball Joints

So it looks like I need Rt. side ball joints on the van. The upper is pretty bad, may as well do both. Hardest part is pressing them out/in on the spindle... anyone got a C-press or press that can do the job if I need help?

I'm changing them myself then will take it in for re-alignment. Only thing I can't do is press the spindle and joints.

Both Advance and Autozone have "tool rental" programs. Basically, you pay full price for the press tool kit, and after you are done, you bring it back a for a full refund.

Dont rent the press from the Autozone near Chancellors run.
I tried to rent it but it was a rusty bent POS. Its like someone put a air tool on it and cranked on it stretching the C out of alignment.
YOU DONT use air tools for this job, just good ol man power.

Actually I took it to PF Dodge and a tech pressed the old out and new in for $20. Not bad!!

I got a press from Advance in Cali, but it was also out of alignment... not bad but enough it wouldn't press out the joints. The tech at PF even struggled with it for a bit. But, 160'000 miles of weather and rust and stress, what do you ecpect?? Hehe.
