Intentional Balloon Releases Banned in Maryland

The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) and Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) remind Marylanders that a new state law that prohibits intentional balloon releases is now in effect.

Right now there is an ad on my SOMDOnline screen from a place called mypilotstore.com for a 33" long inflatable replica GoodYear blimp. I'd buy it if I though it was light enough to float when inflated with helium.

If I may ...

Have balloon releases staged over at Colonial Beach or someplace in King George County and watch them float across the Potomac over to Maryland. As an added bonus, no trees to block the view.
