U.S. District Judge Ellen L. Hollander today sentenced Demetrios Stavrakis, a/k/a Jimmy, age 54, of Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, to 15 years in federal prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for an arson conspiracy to damage his business by setting it on fire in order to obtain insurance proceeds. Judge Hollander also ordered that Stavrakis forfeit $15,081,435. The federal jury returned the guilty verdict late on October 28, 2019.
