The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in apprehending two men who robbed the Bank of America on Shangri-La Drive in Lexington Park yesterday morning. The robbery occurred at approximately 8:10 a.m., during the time when traffic was slowed by the increased security measures taken at PAX River's entry gates. The two are described as black males, 20-30 years old. One is approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds and wearing a light-colored sweatshirt. The second is approximately 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds and wearing green flight-style coveralls. They fled in a green Acura, which was recovered a short time later along Great Mills Road.
People waiting in traffic along Great Mills Road may have seen the men or the car.
