For those who don't understand, which covers all the right wing Trump cultists on here...THESE are the people who are large users of SNAP, Medicaid, etc. The elderly and the under 18...not 30 something slackers who just don't want to work.
Why this article would come as a shock to anyone (especially the supposedly highly educated Gilligan) is beyond me. We went thru a massive recession 10 years ago...lots of folks in their 50s and early 60s lost their jobs and homes...they were left in very weak financial positions and any additional financial stress wipes them out.
