Growing up in the 60s it was routine for baseball teams to play doubleheaders on Sundays. I know it messes with the pitche'rs rest, but with about 12-16 double headers per season it would end the regular season about 3 weeks sooner. So no snow for playoff games in Colorado or Cleveland.
I wish they would bring those back. If they are worried about revenue then play day/night doubleheaders. Clear out the stadium after the first game. Only issue is if there is extra innings in the first game.
