baseball hall of fame trip

a friend of mine and myself are trying to take our sons up to see Ripken inducted into the hall of fame this summer. Anyone even been to the baseball HOF? Any advice on where to stay, close towns, etc. We've found a campground but just about anything with a man made roof I've found is sold out.

I grew up in that area and all I have to say is good luck. every hotel in the entire area are booked a year out for induction weekend. You still might be able to find something in Oneonta (about 15 miles from Cooperstown) or in Sidney (about 40 miles out)

We stayed at the Cooperstown KOA 2 summers ago. Older but clean. There's other campgrounds around the area that have cabins to rent. But they fill up fast too.
