...it is not.
I'm guessing Congress is going to regulate Baseball now....it is not.

Ugh. It's up to the league to do something, not congress. Is the MLB doesn't want to do anything, let them do nothing and watch their ratings decline. Let the MLB do nothing and see the O'Reilly 200 NASCAR Truck Craftsman Truck Series race presented by Hanes and Wal-Mart and Oxi-Clean surpass the World Series in total viewers and live audience.
This is effing ridiculous. Congress has more important things to do, like close up the border and make Mr. Bush's tax cuts permanent and all the other stuff they haven't done.
If they're busy doing this, they aren't passing "Global Warming" or ""Campaign Finance" legislation.
Anything that keeps Congress busy without actually passing a law is sometimes a good thing.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series has already surpassed Baseball and is, to remind you, the LARGEST spectator sport in America.Actually, the ratings for baseball are at an all time high and have significantly risen every year....
I don't see any drive fast go lefts taking over as the National Past time...
IMO.......i don't need the NASCAR nazi's attacking me!

As long as MLB has an anti-trust exemption, they should have outside oversight. Since the exemption prevents the oversight they might get from government agencies, the only thing left is congressional oversight.
I say end the exemption, and let them live under the same rules as every other sport/entertainment business.
